Red Hubbard was in VA-164.  He was a good guy.  He was Hot!  One day I was sending him out.  I was through giving the check signals so I gave him the rev up signal for taxi out.  Instead of slowly moving my fingers, as I was supposed to do, I spun them around as fast as I could.  I guess he liked it because he revved up really high and jumped out of the starting block.  I had to jump back to keep from being hit.  A few minutes later he came walking into the flight line.  He had left the aircraft somewhere out by the runway.  Something was wrong with its brakes.
